WE'RE MOVING!!! TO SALT LAKE CITY

So...Ryan landed a great job in SLC, so we'll be moving there next month. I know, I know, not quite the out of state move that I was looking forward to, but hey! At least we're moving out of Utah County (after 10 years...sigh...), and that makes me pretty happy. Besides, I don't know SLC all that well, but I've heard good things, so I'm excited to explore the new surroundings and most importantly, to just get a fresh start.

Our dream is still to move out of state in a couple of years...you know, somewhere on the East Coast would be amazing, but we'll see how things go. If there is anything I have learned about the details of my life is that the timing never quite works out the way I think it will. So, I'm just going to chill out, kick back, and try to enjoy things as they come.

I don't believe that you necessarily must love (or even like, really) every place where you live, but I do believe that you can learn life changing things and have a positive impact on people's lives anywhere you go. And that makes me feel a whole lot better about not moving as out of state as I would have liked.

I'M BACK

I've missed writing. It's like therapy...Here's hoping I can keep up with it, and actually update the blog more often than once a year. How embarrassing...

We're planning on moving out of state soon, which is very exciting and nerve wrecking all at the same time, considering I have now lived in Utah for almost 10 years. This is the longest I have lived anywhere, at any point in time! 9 years in Moldova, 2 in NYC, 5 in Guatemala, and almost 10 here! What?! I was only planning on living here as long as it took to finish college (5 years tops?), but alas, life happens, and ultimately I'm happy that it happened the way it did.

I feel like I accomplished a lot of life's major milestones in Utah - I got married here, graduated from college here, had my 2 babies here, and on and on...A part of me will definitely miss this place and the many people who I love, but I am ready for a change. A fresh start, a new beginning...Whatever you want to call it.

I don't really know where we are going (yet!), but I'm excited about it. Here's to change, to the accomplishment of new milestones, and the start of new adventures.

I just know it will be a great thing!
